Guess what world, the Vietnamese are taking over North America! No, there are no Communist allies here (though, that wouldn’t be so bad would it?)
Over the past decade or so more Vietnamese restaurants and franchises have been popping up all over North America, especially in Vancouver. When you’re hung over or you have a cold forget that chicken noodle soup, go get yourself a big bowl of pho. Loved so dearly that there is even an International Pho Day.
What we have here though is quite the achievement. Announced today the Oxford English Dictionary has added banh mi to its lexicon, sans diacritical marks, which means we’ve officially adopted it into the English language.
You read that right, banh mi, is in the English dictionary. Now, who wants to go get one with me?
