Happy Birthday AJ!
I just love the month of June. It’s just one birthday celebration after another. So fun!
Yesterday was AJ’s (a.k.a. Auntie Jane) birthday. Sheila and I thought that it would be fun to do a girls night, birthday edition.
The Girls: Jamie, Jane, Sheila, Jenny and Jenna. Awww Sheila, you had to ruin the “J” theme with your “S” didn’t you. Darn you devil woman!
Sheila and I picked up some sushi from Sushi Garden on our way over for dinner.
What you see here is the “Large for 3” party tray.
Chopped scallop nigiri, California roll, tobico nigiri.
Salmon, tuna, shrimp and unagi nigiri.
Plus an order of avocado rolls.

After dinner we just hung out in the living looking at new and old family photos and being entertained by Jamie, the Queen of funny/cute faces…..
Then, it was time for birthday cake! Surprise! Happy Birthday Auntie Jane! You’re the best!

Sheila picked up a Strawberry Shortcake from Fratelli Bakery. We’ve had it once upon a time and Sheila had remembered that AJ had liked it. Good job Sheila. Ok fine, I take it back, you’re not a devil woman and we’ll accept you into our prestigious “J” club. We’ll call you, Jeila.
The cake was pretty good. Light and fluffy. Just how I remembered it to be. The best part is the whipped cream icing. I could eat bowls and bowls of this stuff.
