WIAW No. 3
Doh! I totally forgot that it was Wednesday today so I forgot to bring my beloved Canon S95. Everything up until dinner was taken with my iPhone. Enjoy another round of WIAW thanks to Peas and Crayons.
Breakfast
2% Cottage Cheese and cantaloupe.
Fruit salad.

Plus a tiny scoop of peanut butter.
Mid-Morning Snack
1/2 cranberry lemon muffin courtesy of my boss (leftovers from his meeting this morning).
Lunch
Ok, I know you’re going to think I’m super weird (I know Steve does), but I’ve been loving this combo…slow cooked oat (thanks Mom for the mini slow cooker!)
And…..are you ready for it? Century (preserved) egg and pickled cucumbers. I gotta warn you, it’s a pretty nasty looking picture….

Don’t judge me. It tastes good! Really good! ~You know you’re Asian when….
I had this meal yesterday for lunch, and the day before for dinner.
After lunch treat

Veggie Straws
Afternoon Snack
Granny Smith apple with cinnamon. Dipped in my favourite…

Peanut butter.
Some granola
We went to Bern and Glo’s for my brother-in-law’s birthday dinner.
Happy Birthday Kevin! (His actual birthday isn’t actually until tomorrow)

Dinner was BBQ kabobs…

Droooooool! These were so good!

Dinner

Chicken, beef, veggie and shrimp kabobs, corn, new potatoes and a butter flake roll.

I also went back for seconds on the corn and another skewer of kabobs.

Some birthday cookies I made for Kevin.

Dessert
This was my favourite part of the evening…

Cheesecake with mango puree and raspberry sauce.

Bern had made the mango puree sauce from scratch and even though it was his first time making this, I gotta tell you, it was perfection! It was a delicious juicy and sweet (but not too sweet) mango puree. The texture was smooth with nice additions of mango chunks. Like I said, it was just perfect! I was so lucky to be given some leftover cheesecake and mango sauce to take home! Perfect ending to a perfect dinner!
