Cockney Kings Fish & Chips

Steve and I went to check out Bosley’s in New Westminster in preparation for our new puppy one evening last week.  The people there are so great! If you ever have any questions about your pet you must go there and talk to Karima, she is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable.  Her name tag also says “Pet Specialist”. Cool.

Dinner

Since we had not had dinner before going to Bosley’s and we were feeling lazy to make dinner at home, we headed to the nearby Cockney Kings Fish & Chips (Columbia location).  I’ve been to Cockney kings a few times, but never to this semi-newly (1 year ago maybe?) remodeled location in New Westminster.

It was a Wednesday so they had their all-you-can-eat Cod’N Chips for $9.50 including endless pop special.  All I’m going to say is that NEVER GET THE COD! Sheila had told me once what one of her friends (that had worked there) had told her about the cod and said for her to NEVER GET THE COD!  That is all I’m going to say, if you really want to know the reason why, then you can message me.

On that note, we did not go for the all-you-can-eat special.

Instead, we opted for:

The Louisiana Shrimp with their “famous” what-what sauce.

This was nothing special, just a whole lot of batter covered miniature shrimp.  The what-what sauce was just like a spicy mayo.

Steve had the 2 piece halibut dinner.  Comes with a bun, fries and a side of coleslaw.

I had some of Steve’s fries and coleslaw.

Along with 1 piece halibut on the side.

The halibut seemed a bit dry.  We felt pretty greasy and kinda sick to the stomach after all this deep fried food.  We enjoyed our meal at the time, but probably won’t be coming back any time soon.
